Raaida Mannaa is the Co-Founder and CEO of socialBaq, a firm that fosters innovation through human-centered design processes. socialBaq is the first social enterprise in the city of Barranquilla and a unique model for the Colombian Caribbean region.
Her professional career has been oriented to using the influence of storytelling to address social inequality and to empower agents of change developing creative ways to positively impact their communities. With an expertise in communication design and social innovation, Raaida has coordinated leadership initiatives in all regions of the world, advancing efforts to convene global volunteering-involving organizations and actively fostering service by leading events like the regional and global conferences and summits of the International Association for Volunteer Effort, the only international organization for which it’s primary aim is to promote, strengthen and celebrate the development of volunteering globally.
Raaida is the Founding Curator of the Barranquilla Hub of the Global Shapers Community, a network of exceptional young people created by initiative of the World Economic Forum. She served in the International Board of Directors of Partners of the Americas, a non-profit connecting people, governments and organizations across borders, developing lasting solutions to the hemisphere’s toughest challenges. Raaida was selected by the Spanish Government as a representative of Colombia in the Iberoamerican Leaders Program and as the first Coordinating Ambassador for Latin America at One Young World. She co-founded red2021, a Latin American campaign linking youth volunteering commitments, and served as the Communications Coordinator for Latin America of the Wake Up Call, an activism movement that engaged 27.000 people from 84 countries in one day.
