Country Chair For Jordan

Amir Shihadeh is the Founder & Director of YARA (Youth Association for Reality and Awareness) a non-for-profit organization which was established in 2010. YARA has conducted dozens of campaigns, from securing education for out-of-school children, preserving the environment, empowering both youth and women, and organizing interfaith and inter-religious dialogues. As a result of YARA’s impact on enhancing community life in Jordan, Amir became a Fellow for the King Abdullah Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement.

Amir is a Global Shaper of the Amman Hub of the Global Shapers Community; an initiative of the World Economic Forum. He is also the Chief Operating Officer at Mlabbas; a company with retail outlets and an online presence which offers a shopping experience that provides creative gift items as well as offering the customer the option to customize and design their own products. Shihadeh holds a BA in Business Information Systems from Jordan University.
